Heard about AirBnB before? While some travelers love this platform to book their accommodation, for some it's a brand new experience and it sure worth exploring :) 

 

AirBnB is basically a platform to rent out/ book an accommodation, which can come in any form: starting from 1 Studio apartment, a shared room in a landed property, or even the whole unit of a house or apartment that consist of few bedrooms.

 

This holiday rental give more options as the rental rate often cheaper compare to hotel within the same area, and the accommodation itself normally will have house amenities such as washing machine or kitchen to use. So unit located in an apartment where Guests able to use their facilities such as swimming pool and gym.

 

For some 'event gigs', this platform surely provide great alternative to look for accommodation, as during certain events when all hotel room rate hikes, AirBnB home owner might not increase their rental rate during this event period.

 

If you a 'careful' (cheapo) traveler like me :), you will spent hours browsing, comparing, and hunting for the best room that suit your budget. Do check out this alternative as well.

PRO: Most of the time cheaper from hotel considering the facilities and locations. Considered as one of the best alternative for bigger group or family looking for more rooms and private common area to mingle. Rate doesn't fluctuate much. Search early and carefully, you might get a great bargain :).

CONS: While some hotel offer Free Cancellation until few day before your arrival date, AirBnB normally won't have this flexibility, which understandable as the home owner might not have sufficient time to get other Guests. Because of this, they will normally charge you a cancellation fee if you decide to cancel your booking few days before your arrival date or simply refund only the cleaning fee and AirBnB fee if you do last minutes cancellation. So it's best you have your trip confirm before booked the room.

It sometimes a hit & miss when you rent a room from AirBnB, I did heard some unpleasant experience either from home owner or Guests. Home owner might host difficult Guests and irresponsible Guests that abuse the house facilities, and on the other hand some Guests might not happy/ satisfied with the accommodation they rent (maybe different from their expectation).

TIPS: Carefully see the accommodation, starting from the pictures given, description of the property (location and access), and some house rules, total room charge (including any charges you need to pay), and read the feedbacks from previous Guests regarding the property and their experience. 

Do treat yourself at home but also take care of the house as your own house, I'm sure the host will be grateful as well as the next Guests staying in the premises.
If you planning to cook or do your laundry, do check with your host if there is washing detergent provided or cooking utensils in the house. Most of the time they will be able to provide that for you.

From my own experience staying with AirBnB so far, it has been great! All the accommodation I choose were great and comfortable and the most important "VALUE FOR MONEY!" :)

Tarif sewa lebih stabil. Cari lebih awal untuk mendapatkan lebih banyak pilihan rumah sewa terbaik yang sesuai dengan anggaran Anda.

 

NEGATIF: Jika Sobat ingin membatalkan booking sewa, biasanya tidak gratis dan akan dikenakan biaya atau jika terlalu dekat dengan tanggal kedatangan pembatalan booking sering kali tidak dapat memperoleh uang kembali.

Terkadang kita mendapat rumah sewa yang tidak sesuai dengan harapan, atau mungkin rumah sewa yang kita dapat tidak terawat kondisinya.

 

SARAN: Lakukan booking awal-awal sehingga pilihan rumah sewa yang tersedia lebih banyak dan lihat foto yang ditunjukan, lokasi rumah sewa, aturan dan larangan yang diterapkan, total harga yang harus dibayar per hari, juga baca komen dari penyewa sebelumnya. Niscaya Anda bisa mendapat rumah sewa yang sesuai dengan yang Anda mau.

Jaga kebersihan rumah sewa yang Anda tempati sehingga Anda meninggalkan kesan yang baik dan juga baik untuk penyewa selanjutnya.
